Rembrandt How It Works

There are two different types of tooth discoloration: extrinsic stains, which are on the surface of your teeth, and intrinsic stains, which are deeper set inside teeth. Extrinsic stains can be caused by beverages like tea, coffee or wine. Intrinsic stains can be caused by such things as medications, past traumas to the mouth, infection, or the natural aging process. Here’s how our teeth whitening products work to eliminate these stains:

REMBRANDT INTENSE STAIN® toothpaste targets particles left behind from food and drink as two types of micro-polishers help to remove surface (extrinsic) stains while tetrapotassium pyrophosphate helps prevent future buildup. Sodium fluoride restores enamel which strengthens teeth, allowing this combination to be effective at polishing away stains and keeping teeth strong.

For intrinsic stains, REMBRANDT DEEPLY WHITE® Peroxide formula contains powerful ingredients that whiten teeth from the inside out. Our rapid-release peroxide starts working on contact to get deep stains inside teeth to visibly whiten. Sodium fluoride, an anti-cavity agent, strengthens teeth by restoring tooth enamel.
